Washington State Customers
Washington state changed the way in-state retailers collect sales tax in order to join the national Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement. This agreement is an attempt to standardize how states tax online goods.
Currently, sales tax is collected based on location from which the product is shipped. Effective July 1,2008, sales tax must be collected based on the tax rate where the product ends up. (the destination).
Due to these changes, we will calculate your shipping charges based on your Washington State 'destination'. As a result, the tax you are charged may vary from the tax rate shown on your order.
Thank you for your business. I look forward to seeing you in the store - and online soon!
best regards,
Peggy Schafer
